face

the face of beauty not realy but my new characters face none the less.

last one

this is the last one of my practice and or searches from here on out ill be developing a character as my final project

back to faces

its pretty self explanatory but here are some noses becuase i find them funny.

eye

i realize that its sort of loopy but i went back to faces and eyes and after drawing for a while this one stood out becuase of its fuid nature so im posting it

skipping

i jumped around yet again practicing hands and feet this time seeing as they are important to the human figure.. mostly i did this because i noticed i would leave the hands and feet off of figures because i dident want to mess them up. so here they are.

getting board

to manny faces to manny sheets of paper filled with em so im back to figures once again an exercize from the book useing circles to create a body

expressions

(wed.)

... yah i love it the expresion is pricless (to me atleast) i have spent forever trying to get this one right hopefully i hit the spot

day expressions

mon. (last week)

... loveing the noses

next step?

after finishing the two step by steps from the bok i explored further into its pages and started by makeing faces and expresions otu of some of them collaged together. from here on out ill chose my favorite end result of the day/ favorate for everyday i was drawing them

second from the book

.. was the womans figure that i have struggled with in the past and still struggle with. I used the curved template that they showed and tried different poses according to directions and continued on drawing faces.

first thing from the new book

i took the triangle form for a mans body and following thier instructions made a few figures here is a sheet of my favorates

second

this is another i have on hand.
in these my target was showing expression withought the rest of the face useing only eyes. this is important because if the eyes expression clashes with the mouth and or nose than the facial expressions wont wont work.

a few

so here i'm posting a few things I've done for my progress (note this is what i have on hand and more will be posted shortly) most have been done through my studies of the facial structure out of a previous book.

as you might notice people have said it was a dr. suess influence however this is a false assuumtion. this is more an exaggeration of a cartooing book that i borrowed from my father

STARTING new stuff

so what im doing now is playing the waiting game. im loooking toward my new progect and getting the book. for now i will post the facial expressios that i have been practiceing. i have been useing a miror and friends to create an idea of expression. I don't feel this will affect the progect because i feel like expression (aulthough it can be uniform)is stylistic and dependent on the drawers style. i feel like finding my place and style is a good exercise.
